News: Civics Games

May 29th, 2009

I came upon this article looking for some new games. I thought it was pretty interesting becasue people are making an effort to educate America’s youth becasue most of their time they are playing games, so why not teach them through games? History games like Oregon Trail parents can buy for heir kids to learn about history. Or even games with current events like, Dafur is Dying which dramatizes the situation in western Sudan.

This video is another video with slave pictures. This video also includes real slave songs. There is a little kids voice in the backround telling you how a slaves life was and how hard it was back then. How they all wanted to escape to the North. It shows pictures of a mans back and how he got whipped and it is just so aweful.

This video shows pictures of the slaves day. They are very bad and it hurts me too look at them. Just thinking  that’s how people were. It also includes great Bob Marly music with his song “War.” How it used to be so bad, hanging people and just treating them with no respect.

This video is about Malcom X talking about slavery. How everyone should be treated the same. It doesn’t matter if they look a little different we are all Gods children. We all are one family and deserve to be treated the same way as anybody else. I think that is the smartest thing to do.

This video I think is so amazign and real. It is like a reanactment. They act out life as if we didn’t have the Bill of Rights. It’s pretty scary and it makes you think. This is one of my favorite video I have posted yet!
