In America there are 2 ways to become a citizen. One is to be born into it, and the other is a test about the UNited States. Some words to know for this are:

Naturalization- Legal process of becoming a citizen.

Jus Soil- Born in or on American soil.

Jus Sanguinus- Born from a legal citizen. 10 years min.

Collective Naturalization- A group becomes citizens from congress.

Expatriation- Leaving a country you are a citizen of for another country.

Denaturalization- loss of being a citizen.
